Mayor Charlie Wyatt

Pool Schedule, Costs, Programs and Rental

On behalf of the Boonville Parks Board, we regret to inform you that Richards Pool and Boonville Splash Pad at City Lake will be closed for the remainder of the season. Over the past week or so, we have put a tremendous amount of time and effort into correcting the mechanical issue with the pool's chlorine pump, but have not had any luck. After consulting with our engineers and exhausting all available options, we have been forced to make this tough and unfortunate decision. Our Aquatic Director, Carylon Whyte and Parks Director, Ed Harper and their awesome team members have worked tirelessly, in an attempt to come up with any attainable solution. We can assure everyone that this was our last resort, and there is nothing more frustrating than being forced to shut down with less than 2 weeks left in the season.
To those who have scheduled a pool party, a splash party or swimming lessons, you will be refunded. Carylon Whyte has been reaching out to everyone, making arrangements for refunds and even has a few suggestions for an alternative option. Please be patient as this may take a day or two for her staff to make all calls.
A big thank you to Mayor Wyatt and the ladies at City Hall for all the extra calls they've endured, answering questions and coming up with solutions. We are posting this update on our two electronic signs, posting signs at City Lake and through social media. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me, 812- 483 -5789. Please help us spread the sad news.
Thank you,
Cyndi Saltzman
