MAYOR CHARLIE WYATT
With one of the few remaining intact historic downtown squares, Boonville is a bustling city that is rich in heritage and community spirit.
It is told that Abraham Lincoln as a boy would walk to the Boonville courthouse to observe and study law. Once a booming coal mining town, Boonville is minutes away from Indiana’s third largest city which gives residents and visitors the best of both worlds.
As the historic quarter undergoes a large revitalization project, Boonville remains a wonderful place to raise a family and set down roots. The centralized downtown area is surrounded by historic homes peppered by new development and within walking distance of City Lake Park, home to our well-loved Spray Park.
On the outskirts of the city are rolling hills that serve as hunting grounds, ATV and dirt bike trails and farms that meander down to the Ohio River where many of our residents spend their summers boating, fishing, and camping.
Come to Boonville to shop and play… you might just stay!
