For your safety the park is equipped with surveillance cameras that are monitored by our Boonville Police Department.
In 1928, The City of Boonville piped in its water from water wells in southwest Spencer County; the name of the lake was changed to Boonville City Lake.
A 6 tenths of a mile concrete walking path is available which circles the lake. In 2000, lampposts with flowers were implemented and arranged along the walkways for further safety and a more scenic walk.
The Boonville City Lake is stocked with bass, bluegill, crappie, and channel catfish, and is stocked by the State Fish hatchery. A fishing license is required for anyone 16 years of age and older. NO boating or swimming is permitted. The Boonville City Lake has become a large attraction to the community and is enjoyed by all.
